I will not be as ignorant as the previous post. I am a Reds fan. I'm a bit disappointed at the progress of Homer Bailey, especially with all the hype the media has given him. You had to wonder why the Reds kept saying he needs more time to develop and the media talked about him like he was a shoe-in for the Cy Young award. However, I wouldn't go as far as to say he "sucks". I believe he will be a top flight pitcher, he just needs a fair chance.
Homer Bailey sucks not only for his baseball performance, but for his attitude. He thinks something is owed to him. He is the typical 22 year-old "hot-shot." I hope he gets traded. Jay Bruce, on the other hand, is gracious and humble. Bailey needs to learn how to be humble and give respect. THEN, he might be a quality pitcher.
He just got yanked after 3 innings against the Red Sox. Gave up 5 runs, two of which were solo homers in the third inning. Is that why he's called "Homer"?
